With the 2024.24 update for iOS, each of your journal headers feature the background color you assign to the journal, adding a touch of personality and visual organization. This update is a direct response to your feedback, and we’re excited to bring more vibrancy back into your journaling experience.

To set the background color for your journal, open a journal. Tap the three-dot menu at the top, then Journal Settings. Apply a color in the Color menu.

Sunsetting Support for iOS 16
To keep Day One optimized for the latest features and security updates, we’ve made the decision to discontinue support for iOS 16. This allows us to focus on providing the best possible experience on newer devices and operating systems.
If you’re using iOS 16, now’s the perfect time to update your device and continue enjoying Day One to the fullest.
