It is possible in our iOS app to create entries by sending an email to Day One. When you enable this, each of your journals has an individual email address to which users can send emails for creating entries. This feature is exclusive to our Premium plan.
To begin, tap in the iOS app to Settings > Email to Journal. There is a link to save the email as a contact. When you save a journal email to your Contacts app, an image is automatically placed in the contact with the Day One logo and the color matching the specific journal color. Then email that address and a Day One entry will be created.
Attachments and media are not currently supported.
Email entries will work with encrypted journals.
Emailing an entry does support the same Markdown options we currently support.
This feature is not yet available on our Android and web apps
