Make Today Amazing: Dale Majors on 4,000 Days of Journaling

Entrepreneur and adventurer Dale Majors has kept a daily journal for more than 4,000 consecutive days using Day One.

In this episode, he shares how a simple streak turned into a life-changing habit—one that brings clarity, presence, and intention to everything from running a business to raising six kids. Dale opens up about the prompts that guide his mornings, why he journals while walking, and how embracing consistency over perfection has helped him build a practice that lasts.

Dale’s Morning Prompts

Journaling Exercise

Whether you’re walking, sitting with your journal, or just pausing in your day, reflect using the same prompts Dale has answered each morning.

1. What were yesterday’s highlights?
Think back on the past 24 hours. What moments stood out to you—big or small? What made you smile, think, or feel grateful?

2. What’s on my mind right now?
Let yourself speak freely. What thoughts are swirling? What’s weighing on you or giving you energy? There’s no wrong answer here—just write or say whatever comes up.

3. How will I make today amazing?
Look ahead. What’s one way you can bring energy, presence, or intention into today? It could be a mindset, a small act of love, or just showing up fully for what’s already on your calendar.
