Automatically Add Location and Weather to Entries (Web)

Day One Web can automatically add your location and the weather to journal entries. You can enable or disable this feature for each journal individually.

How to Enable Location for a Journal on Web

Enable Location Services on your device

Before you begin, please check your device’s location services to ensure the web browser of your choice has Location services enabled.

Enable Auto-add Location feature on Day One Web app’s Journal Settings

Within the Day One web app, you can toggle Auto Add Location feature. To do so:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Click Journals
  3. Select a journal

Note: The first time Day One Web attempts to add location to an entry, it will request permission from the user. Weather can only be added when the location is known.
