Setting the "Preferred Language Order"
How to use different languages in Day One
Since Day One 2, we’ve added localization support for many different languages. The Day One app will typically display in the primary language set for your device’s operating system, provided it’s a language we support.
You can manage what language is used in Day One on a per-platform basis by doing the following:
iOS
Go to your device Settings > Apps. Scroll down to find Day One > Preferred Language.

This setting affects Day One only, not your entire device language setting. That can be done in the device Settings > General > Language & Region, or different keyboards can be added in Settings > General > Keyboard.
macOS
Go to System Settings > General > Language & Region.

Android
Your app will use your device language settings if the language is available.
Windows
The Day One app for Windows will automatically use the primary language set for your Windows operating system. It is not possible to set a different language specifically for the Day One app.
Web
When using the Day One web app at dayone.me, the language displayed is determined by your web browser’s language settings. To change the language, you will need to adjust the preferred language order in your browser’s settings (e.g., in Chrome, go to Settings > Languages).
Incorrect translations
If you notice words that are incorrect or not yet translated in your language, please contact our support team and let us know. Sharing specific examples helps us improve translations in future updates.
