Ask our AI support assistant

Every Help Guide page, including this one, has an Ask tab at the top. Open it to chat with the Day One AI support assistant, which answers questions instantly using our Help Guides. It is an AI assistant, not a live agent.

The AI assistant can make mistakes. If you are not confident in an answer it gives you, contact our support team at dayone.me/support.

Is there live chat or phone support?

No. Day One does not currently offer live chat or phone support with a person. Our support team answers by email, and you can reach them at dayone.me/support. The Ask tab at the top of this page is an AI assistant rather than a live agent, so it is the closest thing to instant chat.

Silver Support

Silver and Gold subscribers have access to priority support. (Be sure to contact support using the email/account associated with your Silver subscription.)

To access Silver support, go to Day One on iOS/Android > Settings > Support > Contact Support to start an email with the default mail client.

Please include the following if possible:

• Device info (Mac, iOS, Android)
• Day One version number on all devices
• Day One User ID

Due to the high volume of ticket requests we receive, we’ll respond to your ticket as quickly as possible. We appreciate your patience as we work to assist you as quickly as possible.

Our customer support team is powered by real humans. To give our team time to rest, we do not respond to support requests over the weekend.

Why aren’t you replying to my support ticket?

If you’ve submitted a support ticket through the app, and you haven’t received a response from us, check if your account uses the Sign in with Apple sign in method. If so, it could be that your account is linked to an Apple Private Relay email address that is no longer active. Try adding another email address to your account and then contacting us again, or send an email directly to support@dayoneapp.com and include the user ID from your account.
