Editing and formatting entries in Day One for Android
Tap an entry in the List view. Then tap anywhere in the body to place the cursor and begin editing.

Scroll the toolbar at the top of the keyboard to access Headers, Bold, Italics, Highlighting, Numbered Lists, Bullets, Checklists, Quotes, Horizontal Lines, Indent, and Outdent. Highlight text to add hyperlinks, Highlight, Bold, Italics, Underline, etc.
You also access the Undo and Redo buttons from here.
Tap the paper clip icon 📎 to access options to add photos, open the camera, audio recording, video recording, browse via Files (for PDFs, audio, video, photos), location info, add tags, or input a template.

The back arrow closes the entry.

To disable autocorrect on an Android phone:
- Open your phone’s Settings.
- Navigate to the “Languages & Input” settings.
- Tap “Keyboard” or “On-screen keyboard” settings.
- Find the specific keyboard you’re using (e.g., Gboard).
- Within the keyboard settings, you’ll find options to disable “Auto-correction” and “Show suggestions”
Note: The exact wording and location of these settings may vary slightly depending on your phone’s manufacturer and Android version.
Styling formatted text
There is currently no way to apply different styles to formatted text. For example you can’t change the text color or size of individual elements such as headings, quotes etc.
