How to use multi-select in Day One for iOS and Android
You can edit multiple entries at once using the Multi-Select features.
iOS
Swipe left on an entry and tap the Select option to activate Multi-Select.
Once multi-select is enabled, tap the button to the left of each entry to include in the bulk actions. At the bottom there are options to Move to a different journal, Tag, and tap the ••• menu in the bottom right for additional options like Edit Location, View PDF, Export, Merge, and Delete.
You can also tap Select All at the top left to select all entries. Tap the center section at the top (2 Selected) to load selected entries in a collection view.
Android
Long-press on an entry, then tap Select. Tap on each entry to select the desired entries. The options available on Android are Tag, Copy, Move, and Trash.
Note: There is currently no Select All option on Android.
macOS
Click an entry to select it. Then either:
- Hold command and click to select additional individual entries, or
- Hold Shift and click to select a sequence of entries.
- Press command+A to select all entries.
You can also click a month heading to select all entries for that month.
Web/Windows
Click an entry to select it. Then either:
- Hold command and click to select additional individual entries, or
- Hold Shift and click to select a sequence of entries.
Note: You can select a maximum of 100 entries at once on Web/Windows.
