Screen captures for support issues

Instructions on capturing video or screen shots of issues in Day One

Sometimes it is useful for troubleshooting and fixing bugs to have a video capture or screenshots of issues you’re experiencing. There are instructions for iOS, macOS, and Android below. 

After the screen recording is captured, it can be emailed to support@dayoneapp.com with Attn: Ticket #{ticket number} in the subject line.

Mac

Android

Android 11 now supports screen recording. Details here: https://support.google.com/android/answer/9075928?hl=en

Android 10 and lower does not have screen recording capabilities built-in, but there are some third-party apps that we recommend:
