Journal views in Day One for macOS
There are four different ways to view your journal in Day One. Here are the options for Mac.
Day One offers four different views for your data. You can view your Timeline, Photo view, Map view, and Calendar view. Each one offers a different perspective on looking back on your memories.
The view option buttons are along the top of the app. From left to right those icons are Timeline, Photos, Map, Calendar:

Timeline
This is a chronological view of entries. Click one to view in the right-pane. Select multiple entries to see them in a multi-entry view using Command+Click on entries in the Timeline.

Photos
A view of all media. Use the filters above the media to see the desired type of media .

Map
View pins of entries at different locations. Click the pins to view the entries. Click and hold on a location in the map to start a new entry at a specific location.

Calendar

Navigating views
To scroll back to the top of any view, you can either:
- Click on the relevant view icon again.
- Go to the View menu and select the relevant view option.
- Use the keyboard shortcut for the relevant view.
