Filters
How to search and filter your data in Day One.
Filters are a great way to search through your data and find specific information.
iOS
On any journal view, tap the Magnifying glass to open the Search and Filters option.
As you select filters, entries containing that data will show on the journal view. Tap the X at the right of the filter to dismiss.
On iOS, you can select multiple tags. They just need to be selected one at a time.
Tap search > Tags > Pick a tag > Then do all that again to select another
When you have multiple tags selected, an “Any / All” picker appears at the top of the timeline.
macOS
At the top left, click the Filter icon to access filters/parameters you have set on your journal entries.
You can filter by:
- Photo
- Audio
- Video
- Place
- Favorite
- Tags
- Untagged
- Date (specific years only)
- Checklist
- Published
- Activity
- Music
- On This Day
Android
From any journal view, tap the magnifying glass icon at the top right of the screen to search or filter your entries. You can filter by Favourites, Tags, or Places, or you can enter a search term to filter by keyword.
