Subscribing to Day One Premium
How to subscribe to Day One Premium in iOS, macOS, and Android.
What’s included in Day One Premium?
Unlimited journals, unlimited photo storage, up to 30 photos per entry, 25% off book orders, the Mac app (a $49.99 value), and more. Day One Premium users also have exclusive access to all future Premium features.
iOS
Go to Day One > Settings (Profile icon) > Account Status.
The price in the screenshot may not reflect current pricing options. Please see the link above for pricing.

Note: Day One Premium subscriptions cannot be shared in Apple’s Family Sharing. If you’d like to share the Day One journal experience with your family without an additional premium account, we recommend creating shared journals.
macOS
Go to Day One > Settings > Sync and click Subscribe to Premium
Android
Go to Day One > Settings (Profile icon) > Account Status. Tap on this to subscribe or manage your existing subscription.

Web
The subscription can now be purchased directly from Day One! Create an account or sign into an existing account at https://dayone.me/settings in a web browser. Click the Subscribe button to be taken to a secure payment portal via Stripe. When subscribing via dayone.me, the subscription will be managed here via this portal.

Windows App
You can purchase Day One subscriptions via web, as noted above.
Switching mobile platforms
Q: If I switch from Apple to Android (or vice versa), will my subscription still work?
Yes! Your Day One Premium subscription will continue to work on any device, as long as you sign in with the same Day One sync account. While you can’t transfer a subscription between Apple and Google, as long as the subscription remains active, you can use it on any device. Your journal data and subscription benefits will be available on iOS, Android, macOS, Windows, and the web.
If you want a subscription that’s not tied to a specific app store, you may consider subscribing through our web app. A web subscription is linked directly to your Day One account, making it easier if you ever switch between iOS and Android in the future.
